"Printed on 100% recycled paper, Green Mama: The Guilt-Free Guide to Helping You and Your Kids Save the Planet by Tracy Bianchi, helps busy moms, who don’t know where to begin, become green mamas. Bianchi’s easy-going guide spares readers from a green guilt-trip and unrealistic expectations. She encourages readers to make small changes that set a wise example for their kids, but if some advice doesn’t fit a family’s dynamics, Bianchi will be the first to rethink the strategy. Green Mama is full of practical tips and easy changes, but some sustainable initiatives she offers take a bit more thought and sacrifice. The guide builds readers’ green confidence and allows them to gradually become a darker shade of green – until they earn the title of Green Mama."

Homemade cleaners are easy to make & work good. We've recycled for a long time now, since I was little. I started using bags from home a few years ago. I try really hard to be green. However, sometimes you have to look into being green. For example, some "green" dishwashing soaps don't work as well, so you are doing dishes twice. That is wasting water.

ReplyDeleteWe religiously recycle all of our plastic bags. We unplug all things from plugs when not in use, including cell phone chargers and other things of that nature. swriters.com

ReplyDeleteMy green tip is an easy one- don't buy something if you don't have to. Look for something around your house that you can use, repurpose, etc. Also, I try to buy used whenever possible, saves money, saves on waste.
